Swathi NadakudutiSwathi Nadakuduti, PI

Swathi is interested in exploring plants for medicinal properties and agricultural uses. She is excited about identifying new phytochemicals for human use and genetically improving the plants by modern breeding and biotechnology methods. Besides research, she enjoys gardening and cooking. she loves to listen to and sing Indian classical music, and practice yoga in her spare time!!

 

Blake CostineBlake Costine, Graduate student

Blake’s research focuses on exploring Florida natives for plant-derived pharmaceutical compounds. He is a 2020 UF graduate in Plant Sciences with emphasis on plant genetics. He was associated with both college of pharmacy and college of Agricultural and Life sciences during his education and is fascinated to combine these two interests for his graduate research. His long-term goals are to pursue a horticulture research career in academia. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and fishing with friends.

 

Megan TachevMegan Tachev, Undergraduate student

Megan is a Class of 2023 Plant Science Major at UF with an emphasis on Plant Breeding and Genetics and is interested to pursue a career in these fields. Ultimately, she hopes her life helps people. She is a Bulgarian, and her grandparents were farmers, so she has always been around nature and loves gardening. She also had a long schooling background from South Florida in Visual Arts and enjoys printmaking, curation, drawing, and painting
