Yuvraj S Khamare, Degree - PhD

Yuvraj Khamare is a doctoral student at the Department of Environmental Horticulture located at the Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC), Apopka. His main research area is focused on weed management in ornamental and landscape plants. Yuvraj Joined Mid-Florida Research and Education Center as an Intern and then followed as a Graduate research assistant in MREC Center receiving hands-on experience about plant tissue culture, plant breeding, molecular biology techniques, and greenhouse management. Here Yuvraj found out more about ornamental weed management and various problems nursery and greenhouse growers are facing with weed, which really caught his attention to further his career in Weed management. The goal of his research is to find effective, economical and environment-friendly weed management options.
